简介：

     福利与社会服务小组，简称为福社，主要是让国大华裔生认识社区服务，提供实践的机会。此外，福社也希望借此加强国大华裔生对社会意识的醒觉及自我提升。福社的理念就是把爱传出去，希望大家能抱着 ‘施比受更有福’ 的精神，为社会出一份力。

福社常年活动:

    常年活动包括：福社迎新日，福社与孤儿动物园之旅，动物园义工，探访慈善机构，冬至聚会，中学生生活营，庆功旅行，团圆饭，探访残障协会，饥饿30营及各种联谊活动

福社与孤儿动物园之旅--此活动是为了提升国大华裔生对社会的关怀，让我们借此机会献出我们的爱心，与一群小朋友一起畅游动物园，带给他们一点温馨一点欢乐，让他们感觉世界还是充满爱的。

   另外，福社将会提供更多机会机让国大华裔生们接触更多慈善活动，例如探访老人院，孤儿院及其他慈善机构。籍此，大学生们可以尝试做义工的滋味，透过帮助他人，让我们的大学生活过得更精彩及更有意义。

   还有就是我们的饥饿30营。这是一个全国性的活动，营员们将会借此活动帮忙筹款给予有需要的孩童们。此外，营员们还会断食长达30个小时，体验饥饿与贫穷的滋味，好让我们不会身在福中不知福。这绝对是有意义及全新的体验。

   

The Welfare and Social Service Group is mainly on exposing the UKM Chinese students to social service and providing chances to practice besides wishing to raise the students’ social awareness and self-improvement. The group’s concept is to spread love, hoping everyone contributes to the society with a sense of it is more blessed to give than to receive.

    Annual activities of the group are Orientation Day, Zoo Trip with Orphans, Social Works in Zoo, Visits to Charity Organizations, Winter Solstice Gathering, Secondary School Students Camp, Trip, CNY Reunion Dinner, Visits to Association of the Handicapped, Famine-30 Camp and various activities.

The Zoo Trip with Orphans is to raise students’ care to the society by taking the opportunity to show our compassion to the less fortunate children when visiting zoo together, make them know that the world is full of love.

Next on will be our Famine-30 Camp which is a national activity where campers will help raise funds for those needy. The campers will also be fasting up to 30 hours to experience what it feels to be hungry and poor so that the campers will appreciate more on things they have.

The group will provide the students with more occasions to charity activities, such as paying visits to the Old Folks Home, Orphanage and other charity organizations. Thus, student can gain the experience of being social worker and lead an interesting and meaningful campus life through helping others.
