欢迎来到国民大学！
大家或许基于不同的原因而选择了国大，不过这一切都已不重要，因为我们已经在这里！人生当中，无论易难，我们都免不了要做很多的决定。一旦决定了，就不要举棋不定。
国大是一个学府天堂。在这里我们享有幽静的学习环境，专业水平的管理阶层以及师资，当然少不了热情的国大朋友！
大学有什么？大学生涯又有何不同？象牙塔内里的你又是谁？这一切都在你掌握中。大专生群中盛传这么一句话，大学有三种人- 第一种课业型；这些人的生活只围绕在演讲堂，图书馆和宿舍。第二种-活动型；这种人视课业为无物，一心投身大专生活动中。最后一种，平衡型；这种人努力地在课业与活动中找寻平衡点，尽量达到两全其美。我们不能断言以上哪一型是康庄大道或崎岖小路，因为这一切归咎于我们各自的选择。然而，我也许能够分享我个人的一些
看法。
无可否认，课业是我们绝对不该忽略的一环。然而，这百分百是光明前程的保障吗？不敢苟同。游走在知识无疆界，五光十色的花花世界，即使再好的笔记与作业已经不足以让我们去迎向这一个充满挑战的土地。事业生涯与学生生涯有着太多的不一样。如果你任由自己在这几年内舒舒服服地活在个人的安全区，请你在踏入外头世界那一刻，做好心理准备，因为你将会被这突如其来的社会文化冲击彻底侵蚀。
那，为什么不让你的大学生涯与事业竞争接轨？在国大，我们拥有五花八门的社团与活动，从文化交流、宗教寻知、体育锻炼、社醒为主甚至是学生福利谋求等等。这些选择可以提高你的社交能力，激荡你的脑力，让你成为一个名副其实的大学生。从填鸭式教育的阴霾中走出来。挺起胸昂起头，看得更高更远！
大家也许会很好奇什么是国民大学华裔学生理事会。国民大学华裔学生理事会或通称为CCC是一个以学生福利，文化与交流为主的组织。当中的理事会学生代表除了解决国大生的福利问题、旗下发起以宣扬中华文化为主的活动与小组之外，也积极投身于社会运动当中。在这里无种族、宗教、文化与背景之分（详情请关注我们接下来的更新）。我们热切欢迎大家踊跃参与！真正的和睦融洽必须建立在良好的相互了解基础之上。
最后，国大是一个多姿多彩，与众不同的学府，有着你想得到和你意想不到的人生锻炼机会。不要害怕畏惧跨出你的第一步，因为我们随时为你服务！
Welcome to UKM!
I am Wong Siew Mun, President of Chinese Community Council UKM (CCC)!
You may have chosen UKM out of many diverse
reasons, but it no longer matters! Because you are here! In life, we have to
make a lot of decisions, difficult or easy. Once it is made, go ahead and make
yourself proud!
It is great to be in UKM! Here we have tranquil environment, professional Uni administration and lecturers as well as friendly Uni mates!
What’s in the U? What’s so different in the U? Who can you be in the U? You are what you decide! There’s a famous quote among Uni students: there are 3 types of human being in the U. First is someone who pays 100% attention on academic. His/Her life is lecture hall, library and hostel room. Second is someone who totally indulges in co-curricular activities, without even care to bother about assignments and exams. Third is someone that seeks balance between academic and co-curricular activities. He/She will be trying all his/her best not to abandon either of them. Here, I am not going to judge which type is okay and which is not, as every one of us is free to choose our path of life! But I would like to share with you my humble opinion.
Surely, academic is something you should never neglect. But, is it sufficient for a bright future? Certainly NO! As someone living in a borderless, super swift-paced world, by just attempting to equip yourself with lecture notes and projects will not sustain you for long in this rapidly more challenging world. There’s a world of difference between student life and career life. If you pamper yourself by just staying in your comfort zone throughout your entire campus life, it is no surprise that you will be haunted with culture shock when you first step into the real world.
So, why not seek to bridge you to the outside real world starting from your Uni life? In UKM, we have various associations as well as activities, range from culture-based, religion-driven, athletic-focused, social-centered to student welfare-oriented, and etc. All these are helpful to sharpen your soft skills, improve the standard of your mind in order to become an intellectual of high quality. Time to free yourself from shackles of spoon-fed education! Stand high, you will see far away!
I’m sure you will be curious, what is Chinese Community Council? The Chinese Community Council or CCC is a student welfare, culture and social service-based body. The CCC has student representatives who aid in student welfare issues, subordinate cultural activities and groups which promote distillation of Chinese cultures and also encourage community services. Here, we have no borders of races, religions, cultures and backgrounds (will be introduced to you in our following updates). We sincerely welcome every one of you to join us! Harmony can be achieved with better understandings towards each other.
Lastly, UKM is a colourful and
extraordinary community with all kinds of expected and unexpected opportunities
that will certainly spice up your life. Do not be afraid to make the first
step. We are always available for you!
