宿舍近年来不断受水供中断困扰，不只对学生的日常生活带来极大不便，也造成学生怨气冲天。为此，理事会深入探讨此问题根源，希望能够把断水真相带给学生。
自国大于1970年创校以来，总校宿舍村的数量从开始的寥寥数间增至目前的十间。当时所建造的水管只需输水到数间宿舍，因此水源的供应非常足够。但，最近几年来，由于学生人数的增长，水源供不应求，水供中断事件屡屡发生，次数频繁得学生们怨声载道。其实，所有水管是在七十年代建造的，直到目前也已经非常残旧，不再能够担当输水到十个宿舍村的“重任”。
对此，我们的校长，Profesor Tan Sri Dato. Wira. Dr. Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin 指示相关单位更换国大校园内所有地下水管，以解决国大生断水之苦。如今，水管更换工程正在如火如荼地进行中，预料将在今年六月竣工，并将全面解决水供中断问题。然而，在工程进行期间，一些宿舍的水供因为要确保工程顺利而会被短暂切断。
在此，理事会希望各位冷静看待断水事件，并呼吁各位在水供不足的当儿节约用水。苦尽甘来，冬天来了，春天还会远吗？

回复删除1. If you expect to have so many students, then prepare enough facilities beforehand. There's no point building 1000 rooms and then supply water only for 100 people.
2. Where are our talented 'architects', 'engineers' and 'planners'? So much for future planning.
and... they give reasons. That's the worse part.
i thk the problem wun fully solved bcoz one of the "reason" university give is the low water pressure due to the increasing residential area around bangi and UKM along these 20 years.

回复删除no matter how~ even our PM oso cant promised tat thr will NOT hav water shortage problem in malaysia la, dun say is MPP o pentadbiran uni... the solution is in process dy.. mpp ord help to inform those officer n bring in the water tank for us... betta den do nth.. juz hope when the water paip can done faster..
回复删除this can be a good excuse...but at least do INFORM the people b4 they cut down the water supply.. so that v can be prepared n store some water before it happens for the whole day...
